River Tale Proposal

Our story aims to raise awareness about the positive impact of Greek Life. We will be focusing on their food drive, which is a valuable resource for students, faculty, and alumni at Southeast Missouri State University. The Redhawk food pantry provides much-needed food to those who are struggling to make ends meet in an increasingly expensive world. It is crucial to highlight the positive impact of Greek Life on the school community and Cape Girardeau.

Our primary audience is the Southeast Missouri State University community, particularly those involved in Greek Life, as they are the ones who directly benefit from the Redhawk food pantry. By raising awareness of the Greek Life affiliation, we can highlight all the good that Greek Life does. Additionally, we aim to make others aware of the Redhawk food pantry and its importance to the community.

Our plan for the video is to provide an in-depth look at the food pantry and showcase its significance to the community.

The video will feature an interview with a member of a fraternity and a member of a sorority. They will discuss their experiences with giving back and hosting events. Another interviewee will be the sponsor of a food pantry who will provide an overview of the pantry, including what items it provides, how to access it, and other important details. However, the sponsor has requested not to be filmed but will provide a voiceover. To address this, we have decided to create a motion graphic or interview an employee of the pantry who can relay the sponsor's message.

To produce an engaging video, we plan to use a traditional 2-point camera interview format for the participants. Additionally, we will feature the food pantry's location, layout, and available food items. We can also capture the Greek Lifers in action by shadowing them during campus fundraising events and documenting their efforts to stock the pantry shelves.

Our ultimate objective is to create a persuasive video that informs viewers about the importance of Greek Life and the food pantry to the community.

Interviewee: Sorority member, Fraternity member, and sponsor of Redhawk food pantry.

We also plan to feature the Greek life activities such as their food drives and pantry stockings. To create a lively and energetic atmosphere in the video, we intend to use upbeat tracks as the background music. However, if the overall mood of the video turns out to be more serious, we will adjust the music accordingly by slowing it down. Our ultimate goal is to produce a visually engaging and emotionally compelling video that resonates with our audience.
